Licensed Clinical Social Worker

FREUD CALLED IT “THE TALKING CURE,”  BUT TODAY’S PSYCHOTHERAPY IS A VERY DIFFERENT MATTER.

Instead of just listening and saying little, the therapist of today generally interacts with more of an exchange.  However, the purpose remains the same -- to bring about greater awareness and understanding of one’s problems.  As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience, I am able to help individuals, couples and families to obtain clarity and achieve greater happiness.

I accept Mental Health Insurance and Medicare

Am I good candidate for therapy?

Whether you are a good candidate depends on several factors.  We first have to look at the reasons you are feeling either emotional or psychological pain and discomfort.

What happens in a psychotherapy session?

Initially, we discuss the issues.   Once we define the specific issues, we move forward to create a strategy to create changes in order to make your life better.

What kind of results can I expect?

This depends on how clearly we can define the issues.  Some problems are more complex and difficult to solve than others.  Our goal is to get to the root of your unhappiness and create a plan to allow you to successfully deal with these issues.

What are the costs?

The cost per 50 minute session is $120.   Psychotherapy sessions are typically covered by medical health insurance.  In some cases, the fee can be adjusted downward depending upon a client's individual circumstances.
